Albrim Microfinance gives to 2 hospitals in Accra
Albrim Microfinance has supported the La General Hospital and the Princess Marie Children Hospital with equipment and items to tune of GHS 12,000.
The presentations which were done separately saw the La General Hospital receive weighing scale, drip stands while the Princess Marie Children Hospital also received plastic chairs, baby wears, diapers and surgical and laboratory equipment.
The Midwife in charge of maternity at the La General Hospital, Vivian Ogum, receiving the donation thanked Albrim for coming to their aid and was upbeat that the equipment would contribute to quality healthcare delivery at the hospital.
“We are so grateful to Albrim and indeed this donation has come timely because we had problems with scale and drip stand equipment,” She added.
The gesture which forms part of company’s corporate social responsibility was undertaken after initial discussions between Albrim and the health institutions on how best the company could contribute its quota to healthcare delivery in the communities its operates.
The Chief Operating Officer of Albrim Microfinance, Abdul-Aziz Daudi, noted that Albrim attaches great importance to health and the wellbeing of its customers, hence the donation was part of the company’s commitments to improving the health conditions of communities where it operates.
The Deputy Medical Superintendent of the Princes Marie Children Hospital, Dr. Isaac K. Abban, on his part thanked Albrim Microfinance Company for remembering children especially during this season of giving and was expectant that the donation will bring smiles and happy to patients and families.
“Princess Marrie Hospital is the only hospital we have dedicated to children in this country and we are not a rich hospital. So this donation is really going to help us. The chairs are going to make both staff and patients especially the mothers very comfortable.
“The things that they have brought are things we really need. They have lifted a huge burden off the management of this hospital. We are very grateful,” he added.
